Contractor is responsible for completion of all work associated with the landscaping project at Mira Loma Middle School. This project includes all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment to accomplish the work shown in the bid documents. Bids must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract. Bids must be submitted on District bid forms only. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Except as provided in Public Contract Code Section 5100 et sq., no bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the opening of the bids. The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The class of California contractor’s license required to bid on and perform the contract for this Project is: C-27 and/or B. License must be valid and active at the time of award of bid. All contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work, must be registered with the DIR. If awarded a contract, the bidder and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registrations with the DIR for the duration of the Project. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. Bidders must meet the requirements outlined regarding Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Programs where applicable.
