Reference Number 0000429348 The City of Sterling, Colorado is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural and engineering (A&E) firms to provide comprehensive professional design services for the adaptive reuse, renovation, and expansion of the former National Guard Armory building. The selected firm will lead the full architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and specialty design efforts to convert the existing facility into a modern, code-compliant, secure, and energy-efficient Police Department Headquarters using a Design-Bid-Build delivery method. This project is partially funded by the Energy and Mineral Impact Assistance Fund (EIAF) and requires a comprehensive design to renovate the existing 14,000-square-foot facility and construct a 5,000-square-foot vertical, second-story addition over the training area to maximize ceiling height and daylighting.
