The project involves preliminary (preconstruction) and construction services for the Thurgood Marshall Fundamental School Track and Field Renovation. The work includes constructing a new 400-meter, all-weather, six-lane rubberized track and field facility intended for student athletics, physical education, and community events. The improvements cover installation of an artificial turf athletic field over a shock absorption pad, athletic striping and equipment, comprehensive site improvements for functionality and spectator experience, construction of a new restroom and concessions building, related utility infrastructure and supporting site work, new hardscape and landscaping throughout the athletic complex, gates and fencing, accessible path of travel, ADA ramps, gathering areas, sloped spectator lawn seating, permanent homeside bleacher seating for approximately 550 spectators with an elevated press box, a new electronic scoreboard, Musco sports field lighting system, perimeter improvements, drainage, and all associated civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, accessibility, and DSA required upgrades for a fully operational, safe, and code-compliant athletic facility. Contractors must comply with the Community Workforce Agreement and all requirements specified within it.
