Site work for a water / sewer project in Dulac, Louisiana. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Seeking sources capable of performing large-scale coastal restoration through dredging and placement of approximately 2,915,000 cubic yards of sand to construct beach and marsh habitats. Work includes dredging material from an offshore borrow area and placing approximately 1,335,000 cubic yards along 1.45 miles of shoreline to form dune features, as well as 1,580,000 cubic yards to create a 227-acre marsh platform with elevated mounds. The project also includes repair and extension of coastal protection structures such as breakwaters and a terminal groin using significant quantities of armor stone, along with construction of bayside shoreline protection features. Additional tasks involve excavation of tidal and access channels, installation of monitoring instruments, placement of hay bales, vegetation planting, environmental monitoring, and completion of pre- and post-construction surveys. Contractors must demonstrate capability to operate certified dredging equipment suitable for open-water conditions and meet required hydraulic placement capacity, along with proven experience, bonding capacity, and ability to execute work of similar magnitude.
