The work includes the milling and resurfacing of Emerson Street from Teaneck Road to Challenger Road, full depth pavement repairs, ADA curb ramp reconstruction, and spot sidewalk and driveway replacement. Alternate Bid A involves the removal of traffic stripes and the installation of new bicycle lanes on East Winant Avenue and Challenger Road. Alternate Bid B covers the sawcutting and sealing of joints in the hot mix asphalt overlay on Emerson Street from Teaneck Road to Challenger Road. Principal items include HMA milling, hot mix asphalt surface course, traffic marking lines, regulatory and warning signs, removal of traffic stripes, and sawcutting and sealing joints in the overlay. The work is to be completed within 60 calendar days of notice to proceed. Each bid must be made on prescribed forms, include a non-collusion affidavit, ownership statement, Consent of Surety, and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of at least ten percent of the bid amount (not to exceed $20,000), payable to the Owner. The successful bidder must provide a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid, the required insurance, and, for foreign corporations, a certificate authorizing business in New Jersey. Bidders must comply with equal employment opportunity requirements, disclosure of partners/stockholders, prevailing wage laws, and submit all bids in a sealed, labeled envelope. All bids are irrevocable for sixty days unless otherwise permitted.
