Ingham County is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced general contractors for the construction of new grandstand(s) and facility improvements at the Ingham County Fairgrounds, as specified by the County's consultant. The work is to be completed according to the plans and specifications provided. The new grandstand will replace a previous structure and is intended for use during the annual fair, horse shows, rodeos, motor sports, and other events. Supplemental project information includes the project manual/specifications, drawings, and prevailing wage determination. Bidders are required to investigate and evaluate all physical site conditions and ensure their proposal reflects actual site circumstances. The proposal submission constitutes full understanding and compliance with all requirements. Instructions to bidders include providing a bid guarantee/bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, registering as a vendor with the County if not done so in the past three years, submitting concise responses containing all required and requested information, and including the specified forms and documents with the proposal. Proposals must be submitted electronically by the deadline and to the specified email address. Only vendors who attend the mandatory pre-proposal meeting may submit a proposal. Responses must be timely, complete, and use the required forms. The County reserves the right to request additional information, to increase or decrease proposal quantities, and to accept or reject any part of vendor-supplied contract forms.
