Sandia is interested in establishing a contractor-owned/contractor operated concrete batch plant to provide pre-mixed concrete for all Sandia projects. The batch plant operation has the potential to be expanded to other operations in the secure area in the future. The premise of the batch plant is to reduce costs associated with concrete manufacturing and deliveries to projects located at Sandia - concrete manufactured by this effort will not be available for projects or work that is not performed by Sandia on Sandia operated properties. Sandia is seeking interested in parties to furnish, install, operate and delivery concrete that meets Sandia specifications, based on the following criteria: Sandia will furnish a suitable location with the following: 2" water connection, back-flow preventer and meter 480V electrical panel Graveled yard est at approximately 4 acres Contractor to provide the following: Provide a mobile wet-batched/mixed plant. Estimated volume: 15,000 cy/year with a single weekly daily maximum of 12 trucks/day Contractor to furnish all equipment delivery and hook up of the processing, testing, delivery and storage equipment. Contractor to provide all utility extensions and connections to Sandia furnished electrical and water services. Contractor to provide all raw materials, air permits, testing facility, equipment maintenance, fuel and portajohn. Cement silos to be fully enclosed to limit dust. Contractor to maintain yard during period of performance Contractor to provide site delivery of all concrete (pumping is not included as part of the batch plant delivery). Contractor to provide delivery schedule All concrete will be invoiced and paid for by the contractor requesting the concrete 20 Requested Response Sandia is requesting the following data from interested parties: Identify the water connection size and flow requirements. Identify the power requirements in watts/voltage. Identify the geographical area/space needed for all operations. Identify the estimated duration from contract award to operational ready. Identify the estimated cost per yd of concrete, delivered.
