Procurement Shared Services (PSS) is requesting tenders on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure (INF) for the replacement of the lighting in the Tsiigehtchic fuel facility, NT. The existing light fixtures are broken and the site doesn't have enough illumination. Light fixtures will be replaced with energy efficiency LED light fixtures to provide a more well-lit environment at the site. Contractor shall carry out any incidental work to make the Work complete and to the satisfaction of the Owner. Contractor shall be responsible for all the costs related to the repair and any damage to the building and its components (e.g., doors, windows, flooring, millwork, wall paint, etc.) that may occur while executing the work. Contractor is responsible to protect the work from environmental and weather conditions. All materials shall be stored in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements and protected from the environment. Contractor shall remove and re- install any components as required to complete the work. Contractor shall retain the services of qualified labour to perform the work. Contractor shall ensure building remains secure for duration of the project and shall ensure building is locked at all times when work is not in progress. Contractor shall familiarize himself/ herself with the site conditions prior to bidding on this Contract and shall have no claims on account of his / her failure to familiarize the site condition. Contractor must verify and check all existing dimensions and codes as applicable to incorporate all Work described herein. Contractor shall execute the Work in a manner to cause minimal disruption to daily operation of the Facility and ensure vehicular access is not obstructed. No Work shall start prior to written confirmation by the Contract authority that all materials and equipment are on site to complete the Work. Any unexpected delays are to be mitigated and resolved in the most expedite manner available to ensure Work is completed within the specified schedule. Contractor shall maintain daily communication with the Contract Authority and the Facility authorized representative to review daily Work schedule. Electrical -Replace light fixtures with LED equivalents or provide new LED light fixtures at Fuel Facility. The three (3) existing tank area light fixtures at the catwalk are not controlled by an exterior lighting control system, except for the circuit breaker in the panel. Install the exterior lighting controller consisting of a HAND-OFF-AUTO select switch and a photocell, and connect them to the panel. Install the select switch next to the door in the Operator shelter and install the photocell outside the Operator shelter. Provide all necessary wiring and accessories, and run all new wiring through conduits. Fixtures should be replaced on a 1 to 1 basis. Information about fixtures and lamps shown in Appendix M. Luminaire Schedule may not be accurate and is for pricing purposes only. Contractor will need to confirm all fixture details onsite prior to submitting shop drawings and provide an updated luminaire schedule to the Owner.
