Removal and replacement of 14 rooftop mechanical units, two energy recovery ventilators, and one cooling tower. Includes installation of a new rooftop chiller with associated structural steel reinforcement and replacement of acoustic ceiling tiles. Qualified firms are invited to submit proposals to Brighton Area Schools (the "District") for the BAS Brighton High School-Rooftop Mechanical Unit replacements and renovation (the "Project"). The Project will take place at the location(s) below: 7878 Brighton Rd. , Brighton, MI 48116 This project involves removing and replacing 14 rooftop units, two energy recovery ventilators (ERVS), and one cooling tower, as well as installing a new rooftop chiller to replace a broken ERV. The new chiller's weight requires structural steel reinforcement. The contractor must work from the classroom below, removing and replacing its acoustic ceiling tiles to perform the reinforcement scope. Due to equipment lead times, BAS has assumed 2 phases are necessary. Phase 1 focuses entirely on this interior structural work and must be completed by September 3rd, ahead of the school year opening on September 8th. Phase 2 will begin after the new mechanical units which have already been purchased by BAS are delivered in January. The winning general contractor is responsible for managing or self-performing the full scope, providing all necessary connection accessories to make the system fully operational, and submitting a final adjusted schedule upon being awarded the project. For the purpose of this RFP, the terms "proposal" and "bid" shall be treated as one and the same.
