Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Hamden, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
Following the completion of the historical preservation application (State Register of Historic Places Record No. 27232), the Town of Hamden is now seeking qualified engineer or architect professional to lead the rehabilitation of the barns. The selected consultant will be responsible for investigations, public engagement, and design services to develop final construction documents with specifications that comply with historic preservation standards. This project is funded by the Community Investment Account of the State of Connecticut, administered by the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) through the Department of Economic and Community Development. This contract is subject to state spending allocation goals and contract compliance requirements. The last day to submit questions to purchasing@hamden.com is Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 12:00 pm. The Town of Hamden reserves the right to accept or reject any or all options, bids, or proposals; to waive any technicality in a bid or part thereof submitted, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Hamden. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
