Mulberry Pump Station is located north of the Mulberry Street bridge. Several deficiencies were noted in the station. These included structural deterioration in the building components and electrical issues that need to be addressed to ensure the reliability of the station. The detail of the deterioration and reliability issues are noted in the 2017 Flood Risk Reduction System Pump Station Modernization Study performed by SEH. This project is being proposed to be done as a Section 208 project with the US Army Corps of engineering. This may allow for additional outside funding from the Corps, but the amount will not be determined until the Section 208 application is submitted 18 months before the start of the project. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
