Site work for a civil project in Mankato, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Increase the overall size of the interceptor pipe running from Thompson Ravine to Pine street where it enters the WRRF. During the SEH collection study, and the Bolton and Menk / Black and Veatch facility plan, the collection interception entering the WRRF from the east to Thompson Ravine was determined to be a flow bottle neck during high flows. This has the potential cause back-ups of the sanitary system more often then other areas of the city, and have the potential to hinder growth the of the city, as normal usage over the system is over loading sections of the interceptor. Since the development of the reports the execution of the project was to be aligned with road overlays in the area. The project is included in the City's 2026 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of July 03, 2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
