Improve drainage, tidal and flood resiliency along 4,250 LF corridor, including demolition and removal of asphalt, concrete, rip-rap, trees, and storm drain infrastructure; installation of new storm drain pipe, culverts, valves, and structures; grading; water main and sanitary sewer force main relocations; asphalt paving; concrete curb and gutter; and erosion control. The purpose of this project is to improve the drainage and tidal and flood resiliency in the Central Park Road basin on James Island by installing improvements along an approximate 4,250 LF corridor of open channel with upfits at multiple culvert crossings. The Work will include demolition and removal of asphalt roadways, concrete sidewalks, concrete curb and gutter, rip-rap, trees, and storm drain pipe, culverts, and structures; installation of new storm drain pipe, culverts, valves, and structures; grading along the open channel to establish positive drainage; water main and sanitary sewer force main relocations; installation of asphalt paving, concrete sidewalks, and concrete curb and gutter; installation of temporary and permanent erosion control, including rip-rap; traffic control; surveyed as-built record drawings; and more as shown in the Drawings The project site may be accessed within public rights-of-way and easements. Performing work, parking, and/or trespassing on private property, including the Bethel AME Church property, is strictly prohibited without a written agreement.
