Response to Written Questions July 23, 2026 The purpose of this Scope of Work (SOW) is to implement a comprehensive Digital Display Signage System capable of delivering safety-critical, real-time public transit arrival information as the highest priority, supplemented by public service information and limited marketing or sponsored messaging at Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations and related transit facilities. The Digital Display Signage System shall integrate with the Greater Richmond Transit Company's (GRTC) existing AVL/CAD environment to receive real-time vehicle location, trip, and service alert data. The system shall be modular and scalable over its expected service life, enabling expansion to additional stations or facilities without replacement of initially installed field hardware, subject only to back-end system capacity upgrades GRTC seeks to procure a service- proven, commercially deployed Digital Display Signage System. Prototype or experimental systems will not be accepted. The selected Vendor shall provide a complete, turnkey solution and shall serve as the systems integrator for all system components and interfaces. The scope includes, but is not limited to, system design, hardware procurement, installation, configuration , integration, testing, documentation , training, warranty, and support services.
