Demolition for an office development in McIntosh, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the demolition of an office development.
The project generally includes, but is not limited to, demolition of the remaining portions of the partially collapsed three-story masonry structure; protection and preservation of the adjacent building and shared common wall; removal and legal disposal of demolition debris (with landfill costs paid by the County); separation and stockpiling of clean brick, concrete, and mortar for County reuse, including sorting all materials, removing and scrapping metal, and hauling clean brick to the County landfill for repurposing; removal of all existing foundations to a depth of 5 feet with the basement floor broken up and left in place, and the void filled; removal and capping of utilities back to the public right-of-way or property line in accordance with utility provider requirements; backfilling and grading of the site following demolition; construction of a weather-tight exterior wall assembly on the exposed adjacent building wall; and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
