Removal and refinishing of the gymnasium ceiling. Question Deadline 07/16/2026 Bidders with questions regarding the solicitation shall submit written requests for clarification to the District contact WORK SPECIFICATIONS: a. Demolish and legally dispose of the existing suspended ceiling system in the project area, including ceiling tile, grid, hangers, and related accessories not required to remain. b. Protect existing walls, floors, equipment, and building components to remain. Repair minor damage caused by the Work at no additional cost. c. Furnish and install framing on existing construction between existing beams and purlins , or similar structural members as encountered in the field, as required to support the new ceiling enclosure and associated finish work. d. Furnish and install with minimum of r-13 insulation within the new framed areas for a complete installation. e. Furnish and install 5/8-inch drywall on the new framing system, including all fasteners, backing, trim, joint treatment, and accessories required for a complete installation. f. Finish drywall to a smooth, paint-ready condition. g. Prepare and paint exposed ceiling surfaces within the project area eggshell black. The finish shall provide a uniform appearance across new and existing surfaces intended to remain exposed. h. Frame, block, and form openings and support locations as required for eighteen (18) 12x18 light fixtures in coordination with the Owner and the electrical work by others. Cut sheet attached. i . Include all cutting, fitting, patching, alignment, and adjustment required to accommodate existing conditions and to deliver a complete finished ceiling installation.
