Site work and paving for a road / highway in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway.
The Pleasant Beach Drive Extension project involves paving the existing 580 linear foot gravel roadway with asphalt, maintaining the single lane width and slope. One pullout that meets City standards will be added. Stormwater runoff will be collected and treated using two Contech StormFilter units in accordance with the Washington State Ecology 2024 Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington, before being conveyed to restored roadside ditches. The project includes restoring roadside ditches, replacing one existing culvert across the roadway and three driveway culverts, and paving all driveway aprons not already paved as detailed in the plans. Required tree removal will be performed as indicated in the plans. Erosion and sediment control must be maintained, and existing underground and overhead utilities must be preserved during construction. One existing culvert across the roadway will be replaced. Three driveway culverts will be replaced. All driveway aprons will be paved if not already, to the extent shown in the plans provided in Appendix B. Tree removal will be required as indicated in the plans. Erosion and sediment control must be maintained during the construction. Existing underground and overhead utilities must be maintained during construction.
