Renovation of a mixed-use development in Newport, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The work includes removal of (4) facilities from the building A6 steam supply system. The (4) buildings being taken off of steam service (23A, 43, 44, and 49) shall have their steam to heating hot water exchangers removed and natural gas boilers provided in their place. Building B23A shall also have its domestic hot water heaters replaced. Work includes the trenching and backfilling for the installation of gas piping to each of four buildings, restoration of paving due to gas piping installation, and the contractor shall be responsible for connecting to the utility meter and provide gas distribution to the installed boilers. Estimated Budget Amount or Price Range: In accordance with FAR 36.204(f) Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the estimated price range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
