Refinishing of the natatorium pool deck, diving platform, and surrounding wet-deck surfaces, including removal of deteriorated coatings and application of a slip-resistant, chemically-sealed coating system. 1.Diving Area Work covers the full diving area from the expansion joints nearest the bulkhead on both sides through to the north wall, including the stairs, diving platform (top surface and underside), pillar walls, and lower diving platforms. Removal of existing coatings via shot-blast to establish a proper concrete surface profile. Repair and reshaping of damaged curbing prior to coating. Application of a fully-saturating polyaspartic sealer coat, followed by a lightly-tinted brightening coat. Dual-size glass-bead broadcast (hollow and solid) for texture, sheen, and slip resistance. Hand-scraping and grinding of the diving platform stairs and raised surfaces, with a quartz broadcast finish on the platform and stairs. Trowel-applied wall epoxy on the platform underside and pillar walls, tinted to match CMU's color scheme, including an optional CMU logo in polished TrueMetal epoxy on the south-facing pillar. Disposal of all material removed or ground off during surface preparation. 2. Main Pool Deck Area Work covers the remaining pool deck area outside the diving zone, using the same shot-blast preparation and coating methodology. Repair of all damaged curbing prior to coating. Shot-blast removal of existing coatings to create a correct concrete profile. Fully-saturating polyaspartic sealer coat with a lightly-tinted brightening topcoat. Dual-form glass-bead broadcast (hollow and solid ) for texture, sheen, and wear resistance. Disposal of all material removed or ground off during surface preparation.
