This project includes : the repair of an existing synthetic turf field to remove sedimentation adjustment of the carpet to improve alignment; repairing an eroded asphalt base, and installing a berm to prevent stormwater runoff from upper elevations from entering the field area. Project Description Synthetic Field Renovation Dismantle 7,600 SF existing synthetic field by removing staples, adhesives, and other fasteners keeping it in place. Roll up existing turf material where necessary. Maintain for re-use. Remove soil material (sedimentation) that was deposited from the adjacent erosion onto the field. Repair the base surface of the synthetic field including supplying and installing leveling sand. Move the existing turf to line up joints that have been pulled apart, and reinstall. Install new matting paper adhesives and necessary staples to secure turf material Perimeter areas to have very minor gaps repaired with proper elevation and seamless transition Add silica sand and sweep the turf area as needed and prepare for use The City of Medford, led by the School Department, is accepting sealed bids for the Brooks Elementary School Turf Repair and Drainage.
