Renovation of a mixed-use development in Kansas City, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Inspection, repair, and recertification of Lightning Protection Systems (LPS) across multiple buildings, including Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 15, 26, 40, and 56, along with the Honor Annex. Work includes performing comprehensive inspections to identify and document deficiencies with detailed reports and photographs; removal and replacement of damaged or noncompliant components such as air terminals, conductors, grounding electrodes, fasteners, and bonding elements; installation of missing components; and verification of system configuration and performance to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. The effort also includes validating proper grounding and utility bonding, addressing unforeseen deficiencies, conducting follow-up inspections with before-and-after documentation, and obtaining UL Master Label certification for each building's lightning protection system. All work shall be completed with appropriate safety measures, equipment, and adherence to OSHA, NFPA, UL, and VA standards to ensure system reliability and compliance.
