Site work for a water / sewer project in Moxee, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Remove and replace approximately 14,600 feet of concrete canal floor. Remove 6" concrete lining drain pipe and install new 6" perforated PVC or HDPE drain lines, connecting to existing drain outlets. Coat all joints and cracks with poly-urea sealer. The principal work to be performed is earthwork and concrete work. Bidders are to comply with all applicable laws of the State of Washington relating to public works contracts, including prevailing wage requirements. Bids shall be provided on a unit price basis and in U.S. dollars. Award will go to the lowest responsible responsive bid as defined in RCW 39.04. Failure to conduct onsite inspection for field conditions will render a bid non-responsive. Questions regarding Drawings and Specifications should be addressed to the District and will be answered by addenda addressed to all bidders. The District will not be responsible for oral questions or interpretations. No statement regarding the work, except as made by bidding documents or addenda thereto, shall be binding upon the District Question Deadline 07/23/2026 Project Location This Main Canal Floor Replacement 2026/2027 project is located within the Roza Irrigation District, Yakima County, Washington. The project location is along an approximate 14,600 ft section of the District's Main Canal starting at the intersection of Deeringhoff Road and the RID Main Canal about 3.1 miles east of Moxee, Washington and continuing south and west in RID Main Canal. (See Location and Vicinity Map under Drawings) B. Description The principal components of work to be performed under these specifications include the following: Cutting and removal of existing concrete floor, subgrade preparation, drain system installation, liner placement, concrete floor construction, sealing of floor joints and sidewall joints and cracks. The Contractor will provide all labor and equipment required to properly achieve this work. The quantities stated in each schedule are estimated quantities for comparison of bids, no claim shall be made against the District to excess or deficiency therein. C. General Requirements C1. Staking out Work a . Lines and grades. The District will establish the initial bench marks and principal control points essential to commencement of work. The District will also make final surveys of completed work as necessary. The District will provide only the minimum surveys as described above and will set survey stakes only once. Where construction operations require removal of District's stakes, the contractor shall reference or replace such points as required for performance of the work. From the initial bench marks and control points established by the District, the Contractor shall furnish and place all additional stakes, marks, and materials necessary for marking and maintaining points, lines, and elevations for the performance and completion of the work. The Contractor shall be responsible for conformance of the finished work with the lines and grades established by the District. b. Replacement of survey stakes. Where construction operations require removal of the District's stakes or other survey marks, the Contractor shall reference such points in an approved manner. Survey stakes or marks established by the District shall be preserved by the Contractor unless he is authorized to remove them; and in case of their destruction or removal by the Contractor's forces, they will be replaced by the District atthe Contractor's expense. The actual cost to the District of replacing survey stakes or marks will be deducted from payments due the Contractor. c. Contractor shall ensure surveying and grade accuracy with the following tolerances: grade stakes +-0.10 feet horizontal and vertical. d. Cost. The cost of furnishing all necessary materials and performing all work required in establishing all lines and grades as described in this section shall be included in the prices bid in the schedule for other items of work.
