General Scope of Work: Replacing a storm manhole and catch basin and approximately 90 feet of pipe. The City of Waterbury will provide the new storm manhole and catch basin, the contractor will install. The contractor will provide a uniformed traffic person and will be responsible for the maintenance and protection of traffic. All work shall be in accordance to the plans and specifications and the City of Waterbury requirements and CT DOT Form 819. The contractor will supply and install the 15" HDPE pipe and all necessary fittings and couplings. All excavation, labor, tools, equipment, backfilling, compaction, clean-up and signage will be supplied by the contractor. Summary of Work: The City will supply 1 manhole and 1 catch basin , delivered to the site, no cost to the contractor. The Contractor will supply all other material , labor, tools, equipment, signage, services and anything else to complete the project as shown on the plans and specifications. Plans entitled: Storm Drainage Plan, Walnut Street and Orange Street Intersection, Proposed Drainage Improvements, Date: June 2026, Scale: 1 "= 10', Prepared by the City of Waterbury, Department of Engineering. All work shall conform to CT DOT form 819 and the City of Waterbury Engineering Department. The contractor shall repair the concrete sidewalk near the proposed double grate catch basin, total square feet is 100 S.F. The contractor shall provide all necessary pipe, fittings and couplings, processed gravel and any other material needed to complete the project. The contractor shall be responsible for the maintenance and protection of traffic, including pedestrian traffic, per spec. 9.71R. The contractor shall provide a uniformed traffic person per spec. 9.70R-1 and 9.70R-2. Orange Street can be closed during construction, allow for local traffic only.
