The Regional District of East Kootenay ("the RDEK") invites Quoters to prepare a quotation for the decommissioning of two Windermere structures, low lift pump station and chlorination pump station. This would include at least the following core items: Conduct a kick-off meeting to confirm scope of work and schedule a site visit. Conduct a site assessment to identify areas that may need protection during the decommissioning process. Submit a Section 11 Notification of Instream Work. Complete any potential additional requirements ie . Notice of Project, other federal authorizations, water rights, ... Prepare a decommissioning plan which includes: Appropriate periods of minimal risk during which decommissioning activities can be undertaken. Monitoring obligations throughout the decommissioning process Site restoration plan. Plan for the management of environmental impacts. Implement environmental monitoring measures during decommissioning operations. Demolition and abatement of hazardous materials. Demolition and disposal of building envelope Removal and disposal of all internal components. Cap and seal any openings. Clean up and restore site, eliminating any hazards and safety concerns. OPTIONAL: Shut-off or cap the intake pipe to the low lift station wet well.
