Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Woodbridge, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 231,000-square-foot, 10-story above grade, 240-bed elderly care / assisted living facility.

Elevator, Fall Arrest and Fire Protection sub-trades are invited to submit information indicating their interest and ability to perform services for the proposed SCHLEGEL VILLAGES VAUGHAN LTC HOME. The project consists of a new 10 storey, 240 bed Long-Term Care Home with one level of basement. The gross floor area is approximately 231,000 square feet. The building is of non-combustible construction. Above grade structure will consist of precast concrete planks on concrete load bearing and shear walls, and steel beams on steel columns, concrete basement and foundation walls. The building envelope consists of masonry veneer, glazed curtainwall, aluminum windows and TPO roof system. Scope of service to include installation. Tendering of Elevator, Fall Arrest and Fire Protection is expected to be issued mid-August 2026, subject to Ministry of Long-Term Care approvals. The anticipated construction schedule is 30 months. Information is to be submitted using CCDC Document 11 - 2019 identifying major project experience in Ontario including multi-storey residential and/or institutional projects for which Elevator, Fall Arrest and Fire Protection sub-trade services have been provided. Please refrain from submitting promotional materials not relevant to this prequalification, or statistics for projects outside Ontario. Elevator, Fall Arrest and Fire Protection sub-trades will be evaluated according to their relevant experience, capacity, proximity, and quality of services, based on reviewing submissions and contacting references provided. Provide the Owner, Construction Manager, and the Consultant references who can confirm recent performance based on these criteria. Schlegel Villages (the Owner) has sole discretion over the selection of those firms, if any, who will be contacted to submit detailed proposals. * The project value listed reflects the total project estimate.
