Site work for a water / sewer project in Salisbury, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Restoration of the dam surface and structural items. Heavy water management involved. Install and maintain erosion and sediment control devices. Construct/maintain new temporary access road. Construct cofferdams and divert water through the work area. Clear brush around abutments walls. Remove the existing coating on the abutment walls and railings. Demolish the remaining existing shotcrete surfacing on the dam. Install anchors connecting the existing downstream steel sheetpiling and the concrete spillway apron. Prepare the gap between the sheetpile and concrete apron and install hydraulic cement. Prepare the concrete and grout inject joints / cracks Rout and seal cracks in the abutment walls. Prepare existing dam and abutment surfaces and install protective coatingsystem. Place rip rap and gravel in the water downstream of the dam. Remove temporary access road and establish turf on remaining area. The Johnsons Pond Dam is a 300 foot long concrete gravity dam that separates Johnsons Pond from the North Prong of the Wicomico River and sees tidal flows on downstream side. Access to Johnsons Pond can be made from 517 Lake St. Salisbury, MD. The City is requesting bids from qualified and experienced marine contractors to furnish and install erosion and sediment control devices, construct & maintain new temporary access road, construct coffer dams or other means to divert tidal influence from work area, clear brush around abutment walls, remove the existing coating on the abutment walls and railings, demolish remaining shotcrete surface on dam, install anchors connecting the existing downstream steel sheetpiling and the concrete spillway apron , prepare the gap between the sheetpile and concrete apron and install hydraulic cement, prepare concrete and grout inject joint/cracks, rout and seal cracks in the abutment walls, prepare existing dam and abutment surfaces and install protective coating system, place rip rap and gravel in the water downstream of the dam, and remove temporary access road and establish stabilization on remaining area Question Deadline 08/04/2026 Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted through the Q&A tab specific to this solicitation in the PlanetBids platform at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the bid opening but in any event not later than the Q&A Due Date
