Site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in Manchester, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
Furnish and install an automatic cantilever sliding gate and operator at the main park entrance road. Scope includes trenching, pavement sawing, site restoration, excavation, and disposal of materials.The project includes: 1. Furnish and install an automatic cantilever sliding gate and operator designed for commercial use at the main park entrance road to restrict automobile access when the park is closed. A. Includes all trenching, pavement sawing cutting, and restoration of site including loaming and seeding. B. Includes the excavation, removal, and legal disposal of all earth, common soil, loose gravel , cobbles, boulders measuring less than one (1) cubic yard in volume, and any other materials that can be removed using a standard, well-maintained hydraulic excavator (e.g., a Caterpillar 320 or equivalent) equipped with a standard dirt bucket, without the aid of pneumatic hammers, ripping teeth, or blasting tools. C. Definition of Rock and Ledge:"Rock and Ledge" is strictly defined as solid, continuous bedrock, monolithic limestone, granite, or boulders measuring greater than one (1) cubic yard in volume, which cannot be fractured or removed by the standard excavator defined in Section [B] . The use of specialized mechanical equipment (such as hydraulic rams, jackhammers, or ripping teeth ) or explosives shall be the sole determining baseline for Rock and Ledge classification. D. Mandatory Notice and Approval Procedure: Upon encountering suspected Rock and Ledge, the Contractor must stop excavation work in the affected area immediately. The Contractor shall provide written notice to the Owner/Architect within twenty-four (24) hours of discovery Rock and Ledge Allowance: a. The Contractor's Bid shall include a dedicated, pre-established financial Allowance reserved exclusively for the excavation, fracturing, removal, and legal disposal of Rock and Ledge (as defined in Section [C]). b. All-Inclusive Draw: All specialized labor, equipment rentals (e.g., hydraulic hammers), operators, fuel, hauling, and tipping fees related to rock removal shall be charged against this Allowance. F. In order for the Allowance to be paid, a separate invoice shall be required. The Contractor must submit certified, itemized daily logs, equipment time cards, and actual disposal receipts to draw from this Allowance. If the verified cost exceeds the Allowance, no additional contractor markup shall be permitted. G. Coordinate Work sequencing to ensure Electrical Contractor is able to complete their Work within the 30 day window of construction. 2. Restore all areas disturbed by the Work, including, but not limited to, loaming and hydroseeding or seeding and covering with straw. 3. Gate Description: A. Gate should be a TYMETAL Fortress Heavy Duty Cantilever Slide Gate or similarly approved product following Article 10 - Substitute and "Or Equal" Items. B. Approximate size is 4-foot-high and 28-foot-wide of black-vinyl coated chainlink 2" x 2" x 9-gauge fabric. C. Single Track System with enclosed track and ball bearing truck system installed with safety guards and covers to protect pinch points. D. Constructed to withstand the forces of gravity and wind . E. Diagonally braced and trusses welded in place to help prevent gate sag and adaptable to uneven terrain. F. Counter-balanced when in the open position. G. Free of any binding and with all u-bolts securely tightened. H. Meets ASTM F 1184 Type II, Class 2 ; if automated meets UL 325 and ASTM F 2200 4. Slide Gate Operator includes: A. A 1hp LiftMaster operator or its equivalent as approved as stated in Article 10 - Substitute and "Or Equal" Items. B. Heater, photoeyes, exit loops, and safety loops to protect against the gate closing on a vehicle or pedestrian. C. Programming capability to open and close according to a set schedule with a seven timer. D. Vehicle detectors to allow for car exit after the park's closure time, but not enter. E. Gooseneck with 500 code lighted keypad. F. Encrypted signal and offer extended range G. A rating for gates 50 feet and 1,000 lbs. H. Being ideal for heavy traffic and commercial use. 1. At least a five-year warranty J. At least (5) visor clip remotes. 5. Provide a maintenance plan outlining the routine maintenance procedure and troubleshooting guidelines of field and associated amenities. 6. Instruct Owner's personnel in the operation, adjustment, and maintenance of products, equipment, and systems. 7.
