Demolition, site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in South Lake Tahoe, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the demolition of a water / sewer project.

The purpose of the Project is to temporarily stabilize existing shoreline conditions at El Dorado Beach in Lake Tahoe, restore beach surface continuity, reduce public safety risks associated with exposed super sack sandbags, and prevent incidental discharge of materials to waters of the state while long-term shoreline stabilization measures are developed and permitted. The Project represents the first phase of a multi-phase shoreline stabilization effort and consists of temporary stabilization of the existing shoreline through placement of up to 60 cubic yards of clean, compatible imported sand over previously installed exposed super sack sandbags. Existing beach sand within the disturbance footprint will be redistributed and regraded in place to restore a uniform beach surface, with supplemental imported sand placed as needed to maintain coverage during the 2026 summer season. Construction activities include temporary site access restrictions, upland delivery and staging of materials, transport of sand to the work area using wheelbarrows and/or a rubber-tired Bobcat Toolcat, minor grading, sand placement, compaction, and site demobilization following completion of each stabilization event. Work will be completed by City staff over short-duration construction periods and is intended to maintain existing shoreline conditions until permanent stabilization measures are implemented. Temporary impacts associated with the Project include up to 60 cubic yards of fill , approximately 220 linear feet of shoreline disturbance, and approximately 0.1 acres of temporary disturbance, including areas both above and below the ordinary high water mark. No permanent impacts to waters of the state are proposed. See Enclosure 1 for a site plan. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, 100% Payment Bond, 100% Performance Bond. Q&A Deadline July 26, 2026 5:00 PM (PDT) *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
