This Request for Tender is being issued by the Vancouver Island Health Authority (“Island Health”) as it is seeking tenders from qualified Respondents to complete the supply and installation of two Steam Boilers at Victoria Regional Laundry, 1 Hospital Way, Victoria, BC, V8Z 6R5 (“the Project.”). The Project includes but is not limited to the upgrade of the heating boiler system serving the Victoria Regional Laundry at Victoria General Hospital, including installation of two new 1250000 BTU/HR Bryan Boilers Model Bfit-1250B high-efficiency hot water boilers,(or acceptable equivalent - see 4.4 Substitutions), inline circulation pumps, and a revised hydronic heating water supply/return loop. The scope includes modifications to gas piping, venting/flue systems, as well as integration with existing infrastructure such as unit heaters, air handling units, heat recovery systems, and glycol systems. Work also involves installing new distribution piping, valves, controls, and accessories, coordinating tie-ins to existing systems. Electrical connections are out of scope, to be completed by others. Once installation is complete, the system will undergo commissioning to verify performance, safety, and operational readiness. Final handover will include documentation, training, and confirmation that the boiler is fully functional and compliant with all applicable standards.
