The Western District of Texas Probation Services requests biohazardous waste management and disposal services for the San Antonio Regional UA Room, which requires the disposal of non-sharps items contaminated with human specimen material, including personal protective equipment such as urine collection kits, plastic bags, gloves, and bottles. The vendor shall provide two six-gallon, leak-proof, reusable containers marked with a biohazard symbol for regulated medical waste, perform repairs and maintenance of the containers, and provide weekly service during normal working hours as agreed upon. The vendor must maintain a current Department of Transportation permit for transporting biohazardous (non-sharp) waste, provide documentation of compliant disposal, indemnify and hold the government harmless for any losses or damages arising from vendor activities, notify judiciary staff of changes within 24 hours, and provide invoices with signed orders and final disposition monthly. The vendor must also offer training support for new waste regulations at no additional cost, supply red leak-proof trash bags, and include a process for handling erroneous charges. Bidders must submit a schedule for performance, fill in the unit and extended prices for each item, and quote all items as fixed price. The place of performance is UA Room, 262 W.
