The Western District of Texas Probation Services requests biohazardous waste management and disposal services for the San Antonio Regional Lab Room, which provides drug testing results throughout the judiciary and requires disposal of non-sharps items contaminated with human specimen material (bodily fluids). Other personal protective equipment to be disposed includes urine collection kits, plastic bags, gloves, and bottles. Services include providing four (4) 28-gallon leak-proof containers marked and labeled with the biohazard symbol, with weekly service unless holidays interfere, and disposal of these containers. The vendor shall provide documentation confirming disposal follows federal, state, and local guidelines, maintain a current Department of Transportation permit for transport of biohazardous (non-sharp) waste, and indemnify and hold the government harmless for all losses, damages or liability arising out of their activities. Vendors must include a process for handling erroneous charges and provide red leak-proof trash bags. Quotes must be submitted using the provided quote sheet, filling in unit and extended prices, and the grand total amount for each contract year. Payment terms are Net 30 unless more favorable terms are offered. The award will be based on the lowest priced, technically acceptable quote for the entire period of performance, including a base year and two option years.
