Lac La Biche County (the "County") is issuing a Request for Quotation ("RFQ") to eligible Bidders for the installation of a new 150mm HDPE watermain to service McArthur Place and adjacent spray park in the Hamlet of Lac La Biche, Alberta. The general scope of the Work includes the following: .1 Supply and install a new 150 mm HDPE watermain from the tie-in point at 100 Street, extending approximately 60 meters into the McArthur Place parking lot. .2 Install the watermain by horizontal directional drilling ("HDD"), with excavation completed only where required for tie-ins, valves, services, flush point, and related components. .3 Supply, install, and maintain 50 mm temporary water servicing to building, including coordination, disinfection, testing, protection from traffic, and removal upon completion. .4 Expose shallow utilities as required, including hydrovac/daylighting where necessary. .5 Supply and install a new 150 mm isolation valve at the 100 Street tie-in point. .6 Transition from isolation valve to HDPE piping. .7 Supply and install a new drainable 50 mm curb stop valve for the McArthur Place service. .8 Reconnect the McArthur spray park water supply, provided the spray park service line is located near the building service tie-in. If the spray park service line is not located within the expected tie-in area, reconnection will be treated as extra work subject to County approval. .9 Supply and install a permanent 50 mm flush point at the end of the 150 mm HDPE watermain. .10 Complete all required tie-ins to the existing water system in coordination with the County. County operators shall operate existing County valves unless otherwise authorized. .11 Complete pressure testing, super chlorination, flushing, dechlorination, and bacteriological sampling as required prior to commissioning. .12 Complete backfill, compaction, and surface restoration in accordance with the Special Provisions.
