Lac La Biche County is submitting a Request for Proposal (RFP) to eligible Proponents to provide a prefabricated, modular, or proven design daycare facility for Lac La Biche County. The County has allocated land for this project and will prepare the site and utility services prior to delivery and installation. The County is seeking proven, commercially available childcare facility solutions. The County further seeks an attractive, durable, community-oriented architechrual appearance appropraite for a childacre facility, aligning and compliementing the Bold Centre (community recreation facility). The Work includes the building and supply of a proven daycare facility design capable of accommodating approximately 105 children upon opening, with future expansion capacity to accommodate up to 150 children. Prefabricated or modular construction is preferred; however, design-build proposals using proven childcare facility designs will also be considered. The facility must comply with all applicable Alberta legislation, codes, and safety requirements, including but not limited to the Alberta Building Code, Alberta Fire Code, Alberta Health requirements, childcare licensing requirements, accessibility requirements, and applicable safety standards. Defining the capacity of 105 children means, infant spaces, toddler spaces, preschool and out-of-school care spaces.
