It is the intent of this Invitation to Bid to establish the lump sum price for the furnishing of all labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment and services required for furnishing 12' Structural Plate Pipe Maintenance Repair at the Wyoming Department of Transportation, Sheep Gulch, US 89, MM 121.33, Wyoming. Questions concerning this bid should be posted to Online. WY DOT - 12' Structural Plate Pipe Maintenance Repair Structural plate pipe ( 12' dia) at RM 121.3+- on US89 has failing invert and subsequently has started eroding under the pipe and outlet headwall. Scope of repairs; Place new class A concrete under existing outlet headwall to retain flow fill . Class A concrete shall be in accordance with section 513. Remove debris/rock on inlet end , rock to be utilized as rip-rap immediately downstream of pipe outlet. Geotextile-erosion control will be placed under rip-rap. Utilize flowable backfill pumped into void under the pipe in conjunction with placing embankment on both sides of pipe at outlet end where collapsed embankment has eroded away Place invert paving with reinforcing mesh to stabilize the pipe invert. Embankment material would come from the Wolf Creek storage area @ RM125.5+- on US 89. This could also be utilized as staging area. Traffic control would primarily consist of shoulder closures with flaggers to facilitate equipment entering and exiting the roadway. Dependent on contractor's operations single lane closures may be required, but would be restricted to non-commuter hours.
