Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Washington, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

The City of Washington requires professional Phase I and Phase II engineering services for the reconstruction of two roadway bridges and the mill and overlay of Main Street in coordination with those reconstructions. The City of Washington has received STBG funding through the Illinois Department of Transportation for at least one of these projects. A tentative goal is to reconstruct N. Main in 2027 and S. Main in 2028. The City of Washington requires professional Phase I and Phase II engineering services for two bridge reconstruction projects: 1) The demolition and reconstruction of the N. Main Street Bridge (090-6000) accompanied with a mill and overlay of N. Main Street from between the 900 block of N. Main and the TP&W Railroad tracks ; and 2) The demolition and reconstruction of the S. Main Street Bridge (090- 6001) accompanied with a mill and overlay of S. Main Street from the Square to the south City Limits. The City successfully applied for STBG funds from TCRPC for the mill and overlay of S. Main Street. The City has applied for STBG funds for the N. Main Street mill and overlay work, but selection has not yet been announced. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all statements received as a result of this request. All information submitted in response to this request will become the property of the City. It is anticipated that the engineering process will start in 2026 and will have Phase I and II engineering done for N. Main Street prior to a possible letting in late 2027 and then for the S. Main Street bridge prior to a possible letting in 2028. Specific timelines will be mutually agreed upon between the selected team and the City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Requests for proposals for design services is underway.
