Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in S Londonderry, Vermont. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Removal and replacement of 18 culverts on Spring Hill Road including excavation, pipe installation, gravel bedding, trench compaction, and pavement restoration. SCOPE OF WORK The Town is seeking bids for work on roads and/or road segments to complete the following necessary Town road erosion reduction projects. All bids must include full price for the specified work for each bid item noted below. Contractors will provide traffic control as necessary.Spring Hill Road (TH #41) - Culvert Replacements Existing culvert New culvert to be July 10, 2026 to be Replaced installed Required Work 18" x 40' Culvert numbering is Town internal marking and not State designated numbering. All culverts are clearly marked with their 18" x 40' numbers. Culvert # 1 15" Culvert #2 15" 18" x 40' Culvert #3 15" Culvert #4 15" Culvert #5 15" Culvert #6 15" Culvert # 7 15" Culvert #8 18" Culvert #9 15" Culvert # 10 15" Culvert # 11 15" Culvert # 12 15" 18" x 40' All work must be done from roadway. 18" x 40' The drain pipe specified shall be HP drain pipe (grey.) 18" x 40' Drain pipe shall be installed from the lower 18" x 40' end with bells facing up. 18" x 40' All pipes shall be installed to true line & grade. Pipe bedding from the bottom of pipe to mid diameter shall be crushed gravel meeting VT 18" x 45 specification (704.12C) or approved equal. Base road gravel shall match the existing 18" x 40' gravel base or 24" whichever is greater and may be replaced with excavated gravel . 18" x 40' Trenches shall be compacted to 95% standard proctor by means of a vibratory compactor or 18" x 40' other approved methods. The gravel shall set for a minimum 14 days prior to paving in the trench -matching the existing pavement ( up to a depth of 5"). Culvert #13 18" 18" x 40' Culvert #14 12" 18" x 40' Culvert # 15 36" 36" x 43' Headers must be put back if existing. Culvert # 16 18" 18" x 50' Remove and dispose of old culvert. Culvert #17 18" 18" x 40' Contractor to supply pipeCulvert #18 18" 18" x 47' Contractor should have a sign package and arrange for traffic control , if needed. Terms and conditions may be further defined in a formal contract.
