Renovation of a library in Burlington, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The renovation project is anticipated to include, but is not limited to, the following: o Comprehensive interior renovation and reorganization of programmatic spaces throughout the approximately 44,200 GSF facility o New energy-efficient building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection upgrades o Replacement of the 1981 addition curtain wall system with a high-performance window wall o Restoration and preservation of the historic Carnegie Building features, including reactivation of the historic main entrance o Accessibility improvements throughout the building and site to comply with current ADA requirements o New central stair and elevator for improved wayfinding and vertical circulation o Structural modifications and repairs as required to support the renovation program o Site work, including parking, pedestrian circulation, and utility infrastructure improvements o Hazardous materials abatement as required Question Deadline 07/21/2026 at 2:00 PM ET Questions regarding the project may be directed to Kim Bleakley, Central Facilities and Capital Projects Manager, CC Tom Hengelsburg, Architect, Dore + Whittier via email only Email: kbleakley@burlingtonvt.gov thengelsberg@DoreandWhittier.com
