Removal and replacement of 18 culverts on Spring Hill Road including excavation, pipe installation, gravel bedding, trench compaction, and pavement restoration. SCOPE OF WORK The Town is seeking bids for work on roads and/or road segments to complete the following necessary Town road erosion reduction projects. All bids must include full price for the specified work for each bid item noted below. Pipe bedding from the bottom of pipe to mid diameter shall be crushed gravel meeting VT 18" x 45 specification (704.12C) or approved equal. Base road gravel shall match the existing 18" x 40' gravel base or 24" whichever is greater and may be replaced with excavated gravel . 18" x 40' Trenches shall be compacted to 95% standard proctor by means of a vibratory compactor or 18" x 40' other approved methods. The gravel shall set for a minimum 14 days prior to paving in the trench -matching the existing pavement ( up to a depth of 5").
