Washington County will retrofit the bridge rail system on Gaston Road (Bridge #23952). Work includes installing a new Rectangular Tube Retrofit system per ODOT Standard Drawings. This project will retrofit the existing bridge rail system on Gaston Road (Bridge #23952) by installing a new Rectangular Tube Retrofit system in accordance with ODOT Standard Drawings BR285 and BR286. This project consists of constructing a new Rectangular Tube Retrofit rail system, including structural steel tubes, mounting plates, adhesive anchors, splice assemblies, and protective coatings. All retrofit work must follow ODOT Standard Drawings BR285 and BR286 and meet the material, fabrication, and coating requirements shown in the Plans. Approximately 170 feet of retrofit bridge rail will be installed. The Work to be done under this contract includes: - Maintaining temporary traffic control and pedestrian access per project requirements. - Installing new retrofit bridge rail components, anchors, coatings, and associated hardware. Approximately 170 feet of new retrofit rail will be placed. - Performing all additional, incidental, and environmental compliance work required by the Standard Specifications, Special Provisions, Typical Drawings, and Plans.
