Heritage Hall is becoming ever more popular for events and is being viewed as a great space for weddings and other large events. It is also being highlighted as the main attraction at Rock River Heritage Park. While Rock River Heritage is still in the Master Plan process, there are a few items that have already been brought to light, including the need for HVAC upgrades and the need for better bathroom facilities. The department is asking to be able to address these issues by first hiring an architect/engineer to review the structural plans and formulate a plan to address the buildings needs. Second would be to hire a contractor to complete the upgrades. We are asking for $30,000 for design in 2028 and $300,000 in 2029 for renovating the facility to better suit the needs of the facility and the people using it. This aligns with the Strategic Plan objective to preserve strong investments in growing and maintaining public parks The project is included in the city 2027 - 2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
