Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Dyer, Nevada. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Monongahela National Forest requires furnishing and installing one single span steel girder, timber deck, and full width timber wearing surface bridge on FR 81. The work includes construction survey and staking, E&S, clearing and grubbing, installation of cofferdam and dewatering the site, excavation for placement of riprap, removal of existing structure, installation of bridge structure, wearing surface installation, H-Pile installation, roadway subbase and aggregate, and riprap armoring. QUESTIONS may be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer, Brad Higley, at bradley.higley@usda.gov, until 1300 EDT on 07/31/2026 Project Location This project is located on the Gauley Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest: Directions to FR 81 Big Laurel Creek Bridge: From the Williams River Road/Forest Road 101 intersection west of Dyer, West Virginia head south on Forest Road 101 for 3.2 miles then turn right on Forest Road 81. Continue on Forest Road 81 for 2.6 miles to the bridge location.
