The City of College Park is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide roadway resurfacing services for the Department of Public Works, Highways and Streets Division. Question, Answer, and Clarification Deadline electronic Question Deadline 07/27/2026 at 3:00 PM ET The City of College Park reserves the right to reject any or all bids based on past performance and to waive technicalities and informalities and re-advertise. The City of College Park is seeking qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, traffic control, and incidentals necessary to complete the 2025 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) Street Resurfacing Project The contractor shall perform the following work on the streets identified in the Bid Schedule: Milling Mill existing asphalt pavement to a depth of approximately 1.5 inches, or as specified for each roadway, to establish proper grade and cross slope for resurfacing. Remove and dispose of all millings in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. 2. Asphalt Resurfacing Clean the existing pavement surface prior to paving. Apply tack coat in accordance with GDOT specifications. Furnish and place a 1.5-inch lift of 9.5 mm Superpave Type II asphalt mixture on each roadway identified in the Bid Schedule. Compact the asphalt to achieve the required density and provide a smooth, uniform riding surface. 3. Incidental Paving The Contractor's lump sum bid shall include all paving necessary to complete each roadway, including but not limited to: Deceleration lanes Acceleration lanes Turn lanes Intersections (minimum 50 feet beyond the intersection or as directed by the City) Parking areas within the project limits Turnouts Tie-ins Driveway transitions, where applicable o Any additional paved areas identified by the City Existing speed humps removed during construction shall be reconstructed to match their original dimensions and location unless otherwise directed by the City. 4. Pavement Markings Upon completion of paving operations, the Contractor shall replace all existing pavement markings using thermoplastic materials meeting GDOT specifications. Pavement markings shall include, but are not limited to: o Centerlines . Edge lines . Lane lines o o o Stop bars Crosswalks Directional arrows Bicycle lane markings Pavement legends and symbols Any other existing pavement markings disturbed during construction Temporary pavement markings shall be installed as necessary until permanent striping can be applied. 5. Traffic Control The Contractor shall be solely responsible for providing, installing, maintaining, and removing all temporary traffic control devices required to safely perform the work. Traffic control shall comply with: o The latest edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) requirements All applicable federal , state, and local safety regulations
