The Airport is mandated to provide for perimeter fencing around the airport, currently totaling approximately 10 miles. At least half of the fencing is considered subpar based on the height, lacking barb wire, is currently not buried and is frequently breached by coyotes and deer. The Wildlife Hazard Assessment completed in spring of 2025 indicated this was an item to address. Project would replace existing fencing to airport standards, upgrade existing vehicle and pedestrian gates where needed, install security lighting, and connect the access control system to a central monitoring site. Current vehicle access gates were installed in 2001. Expect 5% share. Project formulation and design at 50/50. Petitioned 2024.
