Renovation of a mixed-use development in Orlando, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Provide bid-build construction services to expand Radiation Oncology Service space by approximately 7,000 square feet. Work includes construction of a new Linear Accelerator (LINAC) room, a new PET/CT room, and associated support spaces including exam rooms, restrooms, dressing rooms, sub-waiting rooms, and reception areas. The project also includes installation and integration of all required utilities and infrastructure to support clinical equipment, with full compliance with VA Radiation Therapy Design Guides. Construction requires coordination of radiation shielding systems, clinical equipment integration, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, commissioning activities, infection control measures, and healthcare facility construction requirements. The anticipated performance period is 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Alternates include deletion of rubber stair treads, removal of the entire interstitial floor, removal of Rooms 1S220 through 1S228 to create one LINAC area, and deduction of site improvements associated with the Radiology project. **Location:** Orlando VA Healthcare System, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827.
