Location Measurement Suber Street 900’ x 26’ x 2” (roadway) 80’ x 80’ x 2” (cul-de-sac) Total 3,311 sq yd 1. Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment and materials to resurface Suber Street. 2. All work shall be performed according to Section 400 of the South Carolina State Highway Department Standard Specifications for Highway Construction Latest Edition. 3. All areas shall be swept clean with a power broom and debris removed from the job site and properly disposed. 4. Any grassy area shall be burned off and treated with a grass killer such as Round-up or Primatol. 5. Contractor must furnish and install topsoil, to backup edge of new asphalt and seed disturbed areas. 6. After the entire areas has been swept and properly prepared, the Contractor shall apply a tack coat of HFMS-1 or equal to the entire paved area. 7. The Contractor shall apply a two inch (2”) or two hundred-twenty pounds (220 lbs.) per square yard of Type B surface asphalt to the properly prepared sub-surface and according to industry standards. 8. The Contractor shall make themselves familiar with the job site. 9. Stop lines should be painted at all intersections with existing STOP signs. 10. The Contractor shall perform the requirements of this bid in a manner to minimize any inconvenience to the residents of the above streets named in item #1. 11. The Sumter County Public Works Director or his designee must Inspect the workmanship at three different times: (1) Before tack coat is applied (2) During application of asphalt (3) Final Inspection 12. The project will begin on the date set by the County and the Contractor. All work must be completed by October 1, 2026. 13.
