SCOPE Harris Avenue Drainage Improvements Contract No. 26-1947-12 The work contained in this section includes the furnishing and constructing of one or more courses of asphalt concrete mixture applied hot in conformance with lines, grades, thicknesses and typical cross sections shown on the plans or established by the Engineer. The locations of the various streets to be overlaid under this contract are shown on the Drawings. In addition, the estimated tonnage of required base patching and wearing surface is also shown. Unless otherwise approved by the Engineer in writing, the average compacted wearing surface thickness shall be applied at the rate shown on the Drawings. It is the intent of these specifications that the mixtures produced and placed shall meet the requirements for 100% payment. The Contractor shall be responsible for the design, production, transportation and placement of mixtures. This section is applicable to asphalt wearing, binders and base course mixtures of the plant mix type.
