Site work and outdoor lighting for a water / sewer project in Norman, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for outdoor lighting for a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Lindsey Tower Lighting Project -- Installation of lighting fixtures at the Lindsey Elevated Water Storage Tower, including procurement of lighting and controllers, mounting, wiring, connecting permanent power, and programming. The City of Norman, Oklahoma has a five-hundred-thousand-gallon riveted, lattice leg elevated water storage tank that is to be illuminated externally with lights under the terms of this contract. The work to be performed under these specifications includes the installation and procurement of the external lighting fixtures, the conduit and conductors for all power and controls necessary to energize and control the exterior lighting system and all connections necessary to attached all fixtures, conduit, and conductors to the elevated water storage tank. (2) The tank is located at 616 E Lindsey St, Norman, OK 73019 i) Electrical and Lighting (1) General All work shall be performed, and all materials shall be provided in accordance with National Electrical Code and the governing electrical, safety and inspection codes, regulations and ordinances. (2) Materials (a) Interior Lights Not Required for this project. (b) Exterior Lights See Repair Items of Work (c) Obstruction Lighting Obstruction lighting shall be provided in accordance with FAA standards. The obstruction light shall be a minimum L- 810, dual unit, steady burning, LED, dual fixture type with a lamp-out relay switch. The fixture shall be weather sealed, corrosion resistant with aluminum base and housing. Fixture shall have red globes and be powered by 120VAC. A pilot located near the electrical panel shall be provided to indicate when the primary bulb has failed. An appropriate photoelectric control switch shall be provided and installed to control the obstruction light. See Repair Items of Work. Repair Items of Work (1) After all exterior painting is complete, install four (10) exterior rated LED flood lights on balcony to illuminate two (2) logos and the tank shell. Fixtures shall be enclosed and gasketed, 100 (one hundred) watt high pressure sodium wall mount type with aluminum base housing, polycarbonate cover, prismatic refractor, internal reflector, and low temperature ballast. Fixture shall be vandal resistant and provided with photo control. Secure fixtures to balcony handrails with fiberglass tie wires. Exposed exterior conduit shall be PVC coated galvanized rigid steel, supported by PVC coated hardware with stainless steel fasteners. Submit catalog cut of lights and conduit to Engineer for approval. Minimum conduit size is 3/4 ". Additive Bid Item # 1: Provide additional pricing to install ten (10) ColorBlast Powercore gen5 LED flood lights on balcony to illuminate City Logo in lieu of above specified lighting. Secure fixtures to balcony handrails. Lights are to be programmable and capable to change color as desired by the city. (a) Approved vendor for work is SESCO Lighting of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. (405)-521-0093 (b) Other Vendors, or equal, may be considered but shall be approved by the Engineer prior to the Submittal of Bid. Additive Bid Item #2: Provide additional pricing to install four (4) ColorBlast Powercore gen5 LED flood lights on each leg of the tower to illuminate the tower in the upward direction in lieu of above specified lighting. Secure fixtures to the tower legs . Lights are to be programmable and capable to change color as desired by the city. (a) Approved vendor for work is SESCO Lighting of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
