PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE OF BID The project generally consists of construction of the Phase 4 municipal solid waste disposal cell at the McCurtain County Landfill , Permit No. 3545011, including excavation, clearing and grubbing, subgrade preparation, structural fill , construction of the compacted clay liner, installation of the leachate collection system, construction of the anchor trench, construction of the perimeter road, and other related work shown on the drawings and described in the contract documents. For clarity, geosynthetic materials and geosynthetic installation are not included in this bid package and will be bid separately. The successful bidder under this package shall coordinate its work with the Owner, Engineer, Consultant, and the separately retained geosynthetic contractor, including protection of completed subgrade and compacted clay liner surfaces, access, sequencing, and tie-in locations. The supply and installation of 60 -mil HDPE geomembrane, geotextile, geosynthetic seaming, geosynthetic testing, and related geosynthetic quality control are excluded from this bid package. The Contractor shall be responsible for work necessary to prepare the site and support the subsequent geosynthetic installation, including final grading, liner surface preparation, protection of completed work, and correction of deficiencies in work performed under this contract as directed by the Owner, Engineer, or Consultant. Questions regarding the bid documents, drawings, specifications, or site conditions shall be submitted in writing to the Owner, Consultant, and Engineer.
