Upgrades to Building 203 aircraft engine shop to support the storage, maintenance, and repair of C130J aircraft engines and propellers for the YARS mission. Work includes constructing enclosed, temperature- and humidity-controlled areas within the existing workshop to allow for proper storage of engines on stands and to provide a dedicated room for repair of J-model propeller blades. Existing shop equipment may require modification or relocation to accommodate the new climate-controlled spaces. The project also requires use of existing as-built drawings from base civil engineering, completion of DD Form 1354 during construction, and delivery of redline drawings, updated as-built drawings, and CAD files reflecting all changes upon project completion. All construction must comply with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and the National Electric Code (NEC/NFPA 70), along with all other applicable standards within the scope of work. The work includes construction of a conditioned space that is humidity controlled in the existing hangar and renovation and conditioning of 128 within the facility to include electrical, mechanical , architectural and structural accommodations and incidental related work. The renovations to building 203 include the construction of enclosed areas within the existing workshop, facilitating the ability to maintain and store engines on stands, as well as a room to perform repairs of the J-model propeller blades. These rooms will be temperature and humiditycontrolled to meet storage and repair requirements. Any current equipment located within the shop space area may need to be altered to accommodate the new climate-controlled spaces. Asbuilts on the facility are available in base civil engineering. During construction a DD form 1354 is to be filled out and upon completion of work, is to be provided to the Civil Engineering Office as well as red line drawings, as-built drawings, and CAD files detailing changes made to the drawings provided by Civil Engineering.
