Site work and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Work consists of structural pier rehabilitation works, riverbank stabilization works, underwater riprap placement, and the supply and installation of bridge bearings. Major components include mobilization, traffic control, installation and removal of temporary access roads and berms, supply and installation of sheet piling around river piers, partial removal of existing concrete collars, design, supply, and installation of micro-piles around pier perimeters, installation of reinforcement ties and steel dowels, supply and placement of concrete reinforcing steel, installation of reinforced concrete base slabs and pier jackets, supply and installation of rockfill columns on both north and east riverbanks, supply and placement of underwater and riverbank riprap, temporary jacking and support of the bridge superstructure, removal and installation of bridge bearings, fabrication of miscellaneous metal, and restoration of areas disturbed by the Works. Part 2 of the Work is subject to legal access being obtained for private property on the north riverbank east of the bridge, with works including re-mobilization, re-establishment of traffic control, site access development, and restoration after completion.
